The Observatory is open for dinner 7 nights a week from 5pm-10pm. An Alpine Experience admission ticket to Grouse Mountain for each member of your dinner party is complimentary on the day of your dinner with advance reservations and includes access to the Skyride and mountaintop activities. Getting to Grouse Mountain

By Car

Follow Georgia Street through Stanley Park and across the Lion's Gate Bridge. Take the North Vancouver exit to Marine Drive, then left up Capilano Road for 5 km (3.1 miles). 

OR, from the Ironworkers' Memorial Second Narrows Bridge, follow Highway #1 westbound to Capilano Road Exit North.

Note: All paved parking lots at the base of Grouse Mountain are pay parking.

By Public Transit

The public transit system offers regular service to and from the base of Grouse Mountain every half hour. Catch Bus 232 - Phibbs Exchange or Bus 236 - Lonsdale Quay. For more details, visit the TransLink website. 

When You Arrive

If you have made an advanced reservation, check in at Grouse Mountain Guest Services on the day of your reservation and an Alpine Experience ticket will be issued for each member of your dining party. An Alpine Experience ticket or valid Grouse Mountain Pass is required to access the mountaintop and Peak Chalet where The Observatory is located.

Board the Super Skyride, North America's largest aerial tramway system, and take the unforgettable 3,700 foot uphill journey to the Peak of Vancouver. Your Alpine Experience tickets also grant you access to a host of mountaintop activities including an outdoor ice skating pond and sleigh ride in winter and our World Famous Lumberjack Show and Grizzly Bear habitat in summer. From the Skyride terminal, follow the covered walkway to the top floor of the Chalet to find The Observatory.
